Cycling and MTB in Ibiza among landscapes that will take your breath away

Ibiza is an island that is enjoyable by pedaling.
From technical routes for experienced bikers to more accessible and family-friendly routes, each municipality offers its own character and challenge. Here is an essential selection.
Ibiza town: Puig des Forn Nou, a small but thuggish mountain range

The Puig des Forn Nou route is perfect for those looking for a demanding route with technical sections and spectacular descents. Starting and finishing in Ibiza town, this itinerary of about 44 km crosses the Serra des Forn Nou, a mountain formation covered with pine trees and bushes.
The first kilometres climb gently to Sant Rafel, before tackling one of the toughest stages of the day, with ramps reaching 17%. The effort is rewarded: descents through the forest, natural balconies over the Pla Roig and one of the longest and most fun trials in the area. A complete route that combines technique, resistance and inland landscapes.
Sant Josep: Cala Jondal and Cala Llentia, sea, temper and slope

In the southwest of the island, Sant Josep offers two very different but equally intense proposals.
The Cala Jondal BTT route is ideal for MTB lovers with good technical mastery. With almost 900 meters of accumulated elevation gain in 38 km, it crosses Mediterranean forests, traditional fields and slopes of Sa Talaia. The prize can be a swim in Cala Jondal or Porroig if the weather is good.
For its part, the route to Cala Llentia proposes an authentic "coast to coast" from Ibiza to the west coast. With more than 850 metres of elevation gain and 50 km of route, it combines technical sections, demanding climbs and unforgettable views of Es Vedrà and the "Time and Space" sculpture. The return, crossing the Serra Grossa, will put your legs to the test... and character.
Sant Antoni: from inland mountains to Pla de Corona

The municipality of Sant Antoni combines inland routes with gentler and more familiar routes.
The route Ibiza to Sant Antoni BTT is linear and crosses the mountains that separate the two towns. With 34 km and medium difficulty, it ascends to the Serra de Sa Murta and es Puig Gros, offering spectacular views and the possibility of visiting the Capelleta d'en Serra before descending through the Benimussa valley.
In contrast, the tour of the Pla de Corona is much more relaxed. Starting from Santa Inés, it surrounds this emblematic plain in just 11 km, perfect to enjoy without haste. In January and February, when the almond trees are in bloom, the landscape becomes an unforgettable postcard.
Sant Joan: unspoiled nature and traditional architecture

The north of the island, in Sant Joan, offers routes where silence and authenticity are the protagonists.
The Balàfia Route (PR-EI-107) connects Sant Miquel and Sant Llorenç for almost 15 km. It is ideal for MTB and allows you to discover the traditional village of Balàfia and the public estate of Can Pere Musson, as well as the environmental interpretation centre of Es Amunts.
The Ruta des Caló de s'Illa (PR-EI-104), just over 16 km long, runs through one of the most unspoilt areas of Ibiza. Cliffs, hidden coves and ascents towards Puig de s'Atalaia make this itinerary an intense experience, where nature is the main protagonist.
Santa Eulària: culture, coast and great challenges

In the municipality of Santa Eulària, cycling combines cultural heritage and coastal landscapes.
The Sant Carles BTT Route is circular and perfectly signposted. With 27 km, it alternates asphalt and gravel, passing by the church of Sant Carles, the Fuente de Peralta, Es Trull de Can Andreu and the coves of Mestella, Boix and Pou des Lleó. A varied, accessible and charming route.
For those looking for a greater challenge, the route to Cap des Llibrell offers ramps that exceed 20% and 220 meters of elevation gain in just 2 km of ascent. The effort culminates in a spectacular natural viewpoint with views of Formentera, Ses Salines and the east coast. A demanding, technical and absolutely unforgettable route.
