Today, the last day of the competition, was characterised by strong easterly winds and rough seas. Satisfaction among the IWO participants
Sant Antoni, 5 October 2025. Sailor Ángel Granda, from the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria, was crowned overall champion of the Ibiza Wingfoil Open Spanish Cup (IWO), followed by his compatriots Jeremy Rodríguez and Ancor Yone Sosa, second and third respectively in the overall standings.

The overall women's classification was led by Mar de Arce, with Neus Pericás in second place and Leya Seguí in third. On this occasion, the race course was located in the vicinity of the port, opposite Es Cap Blanc, where there was a strong easterly wind and rough seas.

Half of the highest-ranked participants competed in the gold final, completing five races which, added to those in the qualifying phase, made a total of seventeen. Those in the silver final competed in another three, making a total of fifteen. The final podium places for each category are as follows: Men's Grand Master 1st Juan López, 2nd Fernando Salgado, 3rd Benjamín Burillo; Women's Grand Master 1st Carmen Pertegás; Men's Under-19 Youth 1st Ancor Yone Sosa, 2nd Manuel Morillo, 3rd Leo Zabell; Under-19 Women's Youth 1st Leya Seguí, 2nd Ariadna Riutort; Men's Master 1st Mario Fernández, 2nd Regy Dils; Men's Senior 1st Ángel Granda, 2nd Jeremy Rodríguez, 3rd Alberto Citzia; Women's Senior 1st Mar de Arce, 2nd Alba Nieto; Under-16 Men's 1st D,2nd Nico Mingione, 3rd Luis López, and Under-16 Women's 1st Neus Pericás. The top-ranked CNSA competitor was Leo Kleine, in 22nd place. The trophy presentation took place this afternoon in the race village, located on the central jetty of the Club Nàutic Sant Antoni. According to the organisation's sporting director, Enrique Mas, ‘this edition of the IWO has been a great regatta and the participants are going home satisfied with how all the details of the event have been handled’. It should be noted that, unlike other competitions on the national wingfoil circuit, which start from the shore, the sailors board a ferry to travel to the part of the bay with the best wind conditions.
The participants in this edition came from the Valencian Community, the Canary Islands, Andalusia, Castile-La Mancha, Navarre and, above all, the Balearic Islands, which is the region with the most participants. The CNSA, which organised the event together with the Royal Spanish Sailing Federation, has been promoting the sport for several years and carrying out training activities and regattas. The new sailing centre, which the organisation will open in 2026, will be a landmark on the island, where this and other wind sports will continue to be promoted. The event was sponsored by the Consell Insular d'Eivissa, Café del Mar and Baleària.
