The Ibiza Balloon Festival 2025 fills the island’s sky with color

From September 26 to 28, Ibiza celebrated the first edition of the Ibiza Balloon Festival, a free event that transformed the island’s sky into a breathtaking display of light, color, and emotion.
Eight national hot air balloon teams came together to offer residents and visitors a unique experience, with sunrise flights, family activities, and an unforgettable Night Glow under the stars.
Friday: first flights and dreamy sunrises

The opening day began on Friday the 26th with the first sunrise flights.
From 7:00 am, the public was able to witness the assembly and inflation of the balloons — a fascinating process that marked the start of three magical days.
During the approximately one-hour flight, the balloons flew over the northern, eastern, and western areas of the island, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Ibiza’s countryside, and the coastline bathed in the first rays of sunlight.
A free and open-air spectacle that moved everyone present.
Saturday: the thrill of flight and a Night Glow to remember

Saturday continued with morning flights, followed by a very special afternoon in Ses Variades (Sant Antoni), where the long-awaited Ibiza Night Glow took place — the festival’s signature event.
From 6:00 pm, the area came alive with chill-out music, children’s activities, food trucks, and proposals from Enjoy Ibiza Activities partners.
Despite challenging weather conditions, the Skiron and Ibiza en Globo teams, with the help of the others, managed to inflate their balloons and lift them briefly, offering the audience a glimpse of the visual magic that defines the great balloon festivals around the world.
The evening reached its peak with a performance by La Movida, getting everyone dancing under a sky lit up by glowing balloons — a magical night that proved Ibiza can shine far beyond the summer season.
Sunday: farewell and a commitment to the future

On Sunday the 28th, the final sunrise flight took place, closing a weekend that has already become part of the island’s history.
Beyond being visually stunning, the Ibiza Balloon Festival stood out for its message of unity, sustainability, and respect for the environment.
Councillor Pepita Torres expressed her gratitude for the citizens’ involvement and the work of the volunteers in the cleanup event held before the Night Glow, while Abel García, Product Manager of Enjoy Ibiza Activities, highlighted the importance of collaboration between municipalities and institutions to consolidate Ibiza as an active and sustainable destination.
Thank you all for your amazing support!
